You can be a genius at your job, but if your wardrobe sends mixed signals, people will notice. First impressions aren’t about your handshake, your smile, or your clever words; they’re about you showing up.
Style isn’t decoration. It’s a strategy. Your clothes, your fit, your fragrance, they all talk before you do. Nail it, and people don’t just see you, they trust you.

Mini style fails to watch out for 👔 Suit looks sharp but fit is off → oops, careless vibes 👜 Fancy bag with clashing colours → trying too hard alert 💨 Soft fabrics in serious rooms → gravitas gone ⌚ Sleeve peeks, watch off → attention to detail? Meh

Your wardrobe can either work for you or quietly sabotage you. Use it wisely, and you’ll open doors without saying a word.

Ghana Man Time, we need to talk

Time and I have an understanding. I don’t waste it. I save it, manage it, and respect it. Not because of any fancy productivity hack, but because it just feels… natural.

Maybe it started back at Achimota School. There was a time for everything, and you never wanted to be late. Because being late meant that walk. You know the one. From the main gate, past the green lawns, through the quadrangle every step echoing, every head turning, whispers following you like a slow-motion movie. Pure punishment without a single cane.

Even during school breaks, there were only so many days at home before heading back. For me, that meant getting things done before the bell rang. That structure stuck with me.

But today, it feels like we have all agreed to operate on “flexi-time,” also known as Ghana Man Time.
10 mins late? Normal.
30 mins late? Understandable.
An hour late? Still on the way.
Next week? “Oh, sorry, I forgot to call.”
Here’s what I have realised. Respecting time is also about respecting people. Show up when you say you will, and people trust you before you have even spoken.

So I’m curious, why do you think we struggle so much with showing up on time? Is it culture? Workload? Or have we simply normalised lateness the same way we have normalised jollof at every party?

3. Visibility is power
Whether you're a leader, advisor, creative, advocate, or expert, being visible isn't vanity. It’s leverage. And right now, it’s the difference between being known or being invisible
